One Room Challenge // Week 2 - VINTAGE ROMANCE STYLE

One Room Challenge // Week 2

Welcome to the 2nd week of the One Room Challenge hosted and created by Calling It Home. Last week  kicked off the 6 week room challenge and you can find my week 1 post HERE

If you don't know what the One Room Challenge is here you go!  "Starting on Wednesday, October 7th, twenty design bloggers will transform a space in their home (or the home of a client) from start to finish. Each Week, they will be sharing their process, tips, and sources. All of this will lead up to the final room reveals on Wednesday, November 11th. "

Sounds exciting and exhausting right? Well it is! There are SO many awesome bloggers participating so I jumped on the bandwagon as I'm unpacking boxes at my new home. The first thing you see when you walk into my home, is my living room. So I'm starting with that. I know I won't be completely done decorating and my style is always evolving but it will be fun to just decorate for the time being for this challenge!

This is the blank slate that I am starting with. I'll be sharing bits and pieces but I'm saving the tutorials and full reveal for the end.

In my previous home that we sold in May, you can read about that HERE and HERE, I had an aqua  farmhousey glam feel. I'm not even  sure how to explain it.

We had collected mismatched furniture over a 10 year period of time during our marriage. A lot of hand me downs and roadkill rescue. It was so fun collecting and transforming each piece that came our way but now my style is evolving. I definitely will be keeping my glam and farmhouse vibes but I am loving everything Restoration Hardware right now. I'm wanting a more grown up feel in my new home.

Finally after almost 10 years, we bought a couch! It is one that I LOVE and I was so excited to go couch hunting. I'm not going to lie, it took a few months to decide on a couch. You can find my couch story HERE. The funny thing is I ended up choosing a couch on the very last day of searching at the last store that I went into. I had actually purchased another couch and ended up getting a refund to purchase the couch that I have now. Heart eyes.

So let's talk about this blank slate and my evolving decor taste. You can shop my inspiration and get the same look! {affiliate links and you can read my full disclosure in my about me page!}

So what is your favorite thing in my inspiration list? I need to add more pattern and there is a lot more that I have planned but at least you get the vibe of the room! I will be dying most things to make the Restoration hardware look affordable. More "heart eyes". See you next week!
